You can play the majority of the game without ever feeling the need to open up your wallet, and better yet, Genshin Impact is a good game.
Yes, some people hate on Genshin Impact because it’s brimming with lootboxes, but this is a gacha game done (mostly) right. Genshin Impact was a hit from the second it landed, and it’s easy to see why-at first blush, it’s like an even-more-anime Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and unlike Nintendo’s Switch-only hit, you can play it on the PC, PlayStation, and mobile phones alike.
